About me

I grew up riding in the D.C/Potomac area. Like every other kid of my era, I started out in the hunter ring until I discovered the joy of speed!! By the grace of my generous parents, I competed through Prelim and went up through the ranks of Pony Club until going off to school taught me that I was going to have to learn to find ways to support my own habit. I learned that the best way to get paid to ride was by being able to improve the horses I sat on, and the best way to do that was by sticking to the classical principles that had worked for hundreds of years. By having the great fortune to work for some really top riders and coaches, I became a true believer that Rhythm, Relaxation, and Connection are the keys, and that each rider can only use them if they have found their own balance. I truly believe that I can help bring out the best in every pair by helping horse and rider find their sticking point, and the best practice to move beyond it. This life is a joy to me, and I look forward to sharing it with you and your family!
